Local business owner and Enterprise-native Turner Townsend is running for Enterprise City Council in District 5. Turner is a community advocate known for fighting for transparency in government and has big ideas on how we can work together to build a better Enterprise.

- His key issues include education, police, fire, infrastructure, taxes and spending, and economic development.
- Turner is a graduate of Enterprise High School, and graduated from Auburn University with honors in 2004 with a degree in Building Science.
- Turner and his brother Michael own and manage the family business (Townsend Building Supply) of 3 generations which they have helped to grow to 7 locations and over 90 employees.
- He is a life long active member of First Baptist Church Enterprise, where he serves as a deacon.
- He is a member of the Enterprise Chamber of Commerce board of directors.
- He is chair elect of the Coffee County United Way.
- He is on the Board of Trustees of the Wiregrass United Way.
- He is a member of the board of directors of the Construction Suppliers Association of Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, and Louisiana.
- Turner and wife Lucy are the proud parents of three girls, Virginia (8), Mary Austin (6), and Alice (2).
